University in a Foreign Country?

Ok, universities have exchanges, I know that. People from different countries, like the U.S or something, can go to England or something, for a year in uni.

So, I'm curious...

I'm in Canada and I don't want to live here for the rest of my life. I'm thinking either Europe or Australia or something. My friend and I have talked about moving to another country, like England, Scotland, or Australia (English as a first language obviously), and want to live there, go to university...

My question:

My parents have set up money for my university education. If I were to go to... London for a uni education, would it be possible to access all of these funds from Canada to England? Or is it just not possible or sumthin? Would I HAVE to take uni here and move there and redo education there or something?

I've looked everywhere and can't find anything about this kind of thing (finance-wise).

So does anyone know about the money-withdrawl thing? Please explain =) Thanks!

  1. Why not apply for the scholarships most universities provide? I want to stay to Australia or Europe too, but I'm now a Masters student, so I'm applying for a PhD position and scholarship which can cover my tuition fee and living expenses.

  2. Universities do support foreign exchange programs, but there are limited opportunities regarding welcoming institutes and financial support. Every uni has an 'international support officer', who is responsible for that. Find that person and ask about it.

If u do it by yourself u may have to pay more and invest more time in finding the proper uni in the chosen location.

I'm living and studying in London, if u like a lot of rain, clouds and fog come here, if u want to burn in h**l go to Australia :)
