I know that their admission factors vary, but what are some of the things that the review crucially? What factors do they really review for those who've been recently accepted, and how important is there application essay? How heavily does income influence the admission process? Do high income students have a better chance of getting in?

I have a friend annual family income is less than $15,000. He's in the top 10% of his class but he has made a few d's and f's. What is the outcome for him? He was telling me that he has receiving three letters of recommendation; two from 2 people that have Ph.D's and one from a CEO. Does this help him in any sort of way.

  1. Income does not factor- Alumni status often does.  If you have a parent who went to the school your are interested in, you have a better chance of getting in.  You are what is known as a "legacy admit."  Your friend has a superior chance of getting in to U of F, since he is an exception to the norm.
