University of Melbourne vs. Monash Univeristy in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia?

Question

Hey there, long story short, in Feb. 2009 I will be going abroad through my Universities' education abroad program. Fortunately, I am offered acceptance at 10 universities in Australia in all major citys. As of now I have been cutting my options down to Melbourne, and the two Universitys offered here is the University of Melbourne and Monash University. From what I know, Monash may be more of a tech school, where as I am a Psychology major. Thanks to all who help me out! I am very excited!!! :)

definately melbourne uni. it's the 2nd highest ranking uni in aus (after australian national uni in canberra), monash is ranked about 12th, it's very near the heart of the city so u can pop downtown in bw classes (monash is in the suburbs), it's got a larger & nicer campus (monash is split bw 2 smaller campuses in different suburbs).

Btw, both monash & melbourne uni are academic institutions (monash isnt a tech school). anyways, hoped that helped, enjoy ur exchange!! =D

i wud go for melb uni but u may check both and see which is better off in ur respective field.
