University of hawaii and out of state tuition?

i'm thinking about one of the campuses as a choice..i'm just trying to figure out if i do go, would it be a smarter choice to become a resident or would it be almost no worth it...i hear hawaii is a real expensive place to live so if i have to live there a year before i go to become a resident...i don't know.

what do you all think?

Read the below link.

Establishing residency is a lot harder (and in your case very expensive) than people realize.  Of course, so is the 25K a year price tag.
