University of the Philippines College Admission Test (wow binuo ko)

Question

I'll be taking the Upcat on Sunday.. i have a few questions:

1) do we need to bring scratch papers.? i heard from the sister of my classmate that they will give scratch papers so we don't need to bring..

2) can i wear anything i want for the exams?

3) are we allowed to go out of the testing center to go to the cr or take snacks?

...you've got pretty good answers from battgirl and christine so i won't repeat myself.  i only wish to remind you to have a good night rest before test day and to read all instructions carefully before you even answer the very first question.  good luck.  looking forward to saying - welcome aboard!!!

But if you want to make a fashion statement,  come in tribal thongs!  Like that mayor who attended the Sona.

I hear that test is compared to a nine year old fourth grade level test in the US. You need to stop worrying about what to wear and what you can eat. You need to concentrate on what does the test consist of so you can pass it. Best of luck fourth grader!!

1. Yes you don’t need to. It will be provided. You only need to bring lots of pencils with erasers, your test permit, ID and a have a watch so you can keep track of time.

2. In fact wear something you are very comfortable with so you wouldn’t need to bother with your clothes while answering.

3. You can take snacks; Go to the bathroom prior to the exam. Yes you can go to the bathroom but do so when only you need to do so. And do it if you have enough time left after a portion of the exam. Otherwise, you lose a little time spent in the bathroom instead of reviewing your answers.

Hehe...it's UPCAT season again!

You can write on the test paper (questionnaire) and there are papers provided so you don't have to bring any. By the way, make sure you bring a Mongol 2 pencil. When I took the exam, they were quite strict and wouldn't let me use my HB lead mechanical pencil :grumble: But the good thing is that they lend you pencils and erasers if you don't have one :D (I borrowed both XD)

You can wear anything you want. But if you're going to take the exam in an air-conditioned room, you might want to consider bringing a jacket if it get too cold (especially if it's rainy).

You can go to the rest room any time, but that cuts off time from your exam. You can bring your own snacks and can eat/drink during the exam. Just make sure you don't disturb others!

However, this was my experience 7 years ago and I'm not sure what changed since then...
