I am a sophomore studying at a university outside Canada,, but im not an international student , i am canadian. im planning to transfer into a university in ontario this winter , and i was wondering if the " admission requirement" of universities refer to highschool requirments or universities requirement? for example, when they say that the minimum entry average is 80% above , does that mean my highschool average is 80% and above or the my current average at my university??

  1. i think its a high school requirement. once you have college experience, admission shouldn't be so difficult.

  2. Do contact the University, that's my best advice. From what I know you have to send in both transcripts- High school, and University.

Honestly it is difficult to say although most Universities base their entry on high school averages. Your university marks are still looked at. If they are really low it might be hard to gain admission, but this would apply to certain Universities.

"Student's files are evaluated on the basis of their secondary and post secondary studies." - According to U. Ottawa. So Im guessing most Universities in Ontario work that way also.
