Unknown Parental Control Password

Question

I recieved a laptop as a graduation gift about a year ago. It wasn't new but it still worked so I decided not to buy a new one.
I recently began using a program on the laptop to watch movies called ASUSDVD. It has never given me any problems before.
Today when I tried to watch a movie on it, it refused to play it saying that the paretal controls had been set and that I needed to log in.
How do I bypass this or find the lost password?
P.S. I already asked the present giver and they said that they didn't know.
