Question:

Unknown aircraft - Bracket tail/flat design

I just saw an aircraft flying California near Fresno. It was silver and/or white with a bracket like tail. It had a flat design and was sleeker looking, moving quite fast. It was small...not large enough to hold more than one or two. The tail design is somewhat like the V-22 Osprey although it is more like the letter "E" without the middle line and facing down toward the earth when the plane is in flight. Any ideas? Sorry to be so vague. I just thought it was rather fascinating.

  1. it could have been a A-10 which is the only bracket tail aircraft that i can think of that would be flying low enough to let get so much detail from it but i cannot be sure without having seen it myself from your point of view. the A-10 is a single seat aircraft which helps fit your description but i hope these helps google a pic of a 10 and see if that looks like it.

  2. i can't be certain but it's possible you sighted one of the newer military drone aircraft,

there is one with a tail as you describe,(i can't remember the name)

you could try google for lockheed or maybe un-manned aircraft

  3. if its a turboprop, chances it could be a shorts 330 sherpa

    a fighter jet, an A10

    a small aircraft- ercoupe
