Unknown device on my car! help!?

ok there's like this little radar for how close cars get to you .

its shows it in feet and how close on the left or right side.

i dont know what it's called and i dont know how to turn it on. i looked for all buttons on my car and there doesnt seem to be one for it. can someone help me out or tell me how i can get it to be turned on?

On my car it is called parking assist.

Depending on what model and make of car you have it should always be on and make a beeping noise when you get close to an object.

its just something that will make you a dumber driver, learn to park the car without the gadgets. things like this cost a fortune to repair and your ins. rates will reflect that cost.

Without year, make or model I can only guess but it is called a PARKING DISTANCE SENSOR and the owners manual as stated  above will show you how to use it or just call the dealership...........................
