Unknown orchid ,how to handle seeds?

hi found a orchid growing in mulch,about 10 in tall,2 stems,orchids are one above the other on stem,only one row,each orchid is about 1/4in width or less,3 orchid type petels are purple,the top one has a little yellow in middle,6 or so orchids per stem,leaves are like yellow slipper but shorter and a little wider,there may be dropped seeds in mulch i might put them a couple of inchs deeper,ha da hard time finding a web site to indentify thanks

  2. Given the habitat you found it in, I'd consider Helleborine:  http://www.ct-botanical-society.org/gall...  This is an introduced species which seems to appear in disturbed areas, and I've seen it numerous times in planted areas that have been mulched.

    Unlike most of the native orchids, this one seems to be thriving and spreading in its range.
