Unlicensed driver?

i got pulled over by a police officer las week, i failed to stoped a red light turn, no insurance and no d/l, the car got inpounded, what can happen to me? i am going to court next month and, my visa expired, may that be a an issue? makes it worse?

  1. You'll probably get a decent fine, court costs etc. if you are to stay in the country. You may not be allowed to drive or sit your licence for a period of time

    Without trying to worry you, my mate at polytechnic had a similar situation and he was "exported" back to his home country, all his goods sold and profits paid to his account back home. Of course, this all depends on country and area too.

    I'd do some research on immigration laws and land transit laws for your area then start to worry if its all bad news.

  2. your not from here your driving a car with no license and no insurance and on an expired visa.you should not have been driving in the first place. what  if you would have caused an accident.your why insurance rates are so high.

You have two options depending in what state you are in.  You can have some one with a valid d/l go and pick up the car if they allow it.  Option two is to declare you car a total loss if your visa is expired, if you go and claim your car with an expired visa they might make a call to INS and start deportation procedures right there and then.
