Unlimited packages are not always the most cost effective way to call.  If you call less than 3 or 4 hours per week, then pay-per-minute plans may be more economical in the long run, on average.  Unless you consistently call more than a few hours per week.

InPhonex and CallCentric have pay-per-minute rates to India and Bangladesh in the 4 to 8 cent/min range and Pakistan in the 5 to 12 cent/min range (depending on area called).
