Unlock Spear Pillar in SSBB?

How to I unlock the Spear Pillar stage in Super Smash Bros. Brawl? It says i need to clear an event match. I unlock that event match by beating the Subspace stage in adventure mode. I've cleared it at least twenty times, and it doesn't say that I've beaten it! WTH is going on with it?

*Spear Pillar- Clear Event Match 25

Do it on Easy. I suggest just straight up butt kicking,

but if that isn't working for you,

jump on the bottom level by the left edge.

Forward throw your opponent to the left and kick him in airif needed.

An alternative is to smash him away.
