What is your living situation?

Do you live by yourself, with your parents, with a roomate...?

In an apartment, a house...?

Do you own your own place?

And if you don't mind answering, how old are you?

Thanks!

  1. I'm 18. I live in a house with my parents. As soon as I can afford it, I hope to live in an apartment by myself or in a house with some friends.

  2. Probably to my grandmother's dismay, I live with my boyfriend in an apartment. I'm 20 years old. Previously, I lived in a house ( & paid rent) with a roommate (whose parents had too much money).

  3. I'm 32.  I live in alone and I rent because I'm not sure if I'm going to stay here.

  4. With all due respect, these are highly inappropriate questions that I don't feel merit answering as they are highly intrusive.  It's not a far cry from soliciting social security numbers or asking about my annual income.  It's simply not socially acceptable.  My apologies.

  5. im 21 i live in an apartment with my best friend who is 20 and also my roomate we rent

  6. I own my own home and I'm 80. How old are you and where do you live ?

  7. When I first left home at the age of 22, I lived alone in an apartment for two years before meeting and marrying my husband.

When he died, I was 53 years old and lived in a trailer that we had started to buy together.  Our dauighter (about 27 years old at that time) lived with me for about a year.  I had one pet cat and she adopted two more, so we had 3 cats, too.)  Then I lived with a room-mate and the same three cats for about another year in a weekly rental efficiency.  (I lived in the living-room and slept on the couch while the room-mate lived in the bedroom.)

Then, at 55, I struck out on my own again and came to a different part of the US.  I lived alone in an apartment with just ONE cat.  My daughter would pop in and out, staying a month or two and then gone again for a few months, etc.

At the age of 57, I met a guy and we lived together for a while in an apartment, but the relationship only lasted about a year.

I lived alone again for a while with the same cat.  Then, at 59 years of age, I met my current boyfriend on-line and he lived 200 miles away.  We started spending every extended holiday weekend visiting eachother.  We knew we wanted to get together for good, but were not sure which way that should go - who would move in with whom?

Then, a combination of political harrassment by an opponent he had run against (and lost by only a very few votes) for city office and expensive repairs needed on his house that he couldn't afford, decided the issue for us.

So he sold his house and moved in with me about 3 years ago.  (I was 61 years old then.)

Now, I'm 63 (he's 74) and I live with him and the same cat (she's 8 years old now) in a very small apartment.  We are looking for a larger place that we can afford.

We would marry, gladly, but my salary is just enough, added to his social security checks, to disqualify him from the healthcare that is keeping him alive, but not enough to replace it if he lost it.  So marriage is out of the question till I retire, we win the lottery, one of us gets a book published, or whatever else might happen to change that situation.

So, technically, I am still "unmarried" even though I am living with the love of my life.

  8. I'm 30 years old. I'm in a relationship, but he has his own place and I' have mine. So I live in an apartment that I pay rent for, but he comes over and hangs out. And I'm getting ready to purchase my first home (YEEEEAAAA!)

  9. With boyfriend, in a house that I own, for four years now. We have a 13-month-old daughter. Two cats. A fireplace. Lots of trees. In my 30s.

I do not ever think about Absurd Chattering Skull, though he appears to obsess about me hourly.

  10. I live with two female roommates in a 3/3 apartment (renting)

So much fun..we are all busy with work and school but we  make time for a wine spritzer and decent conversation every night

    I'm 22
