Indian rising star and Under-19 captain Unmukt Chand, says he draws inspiration from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/V-Kohli-c2737 and is hoping to emulate his style of play to earn greater recognition and success in his cricketing career.  
The 19-year-old received rave reviews for his batting and already considered by many as the next Kohli in the making.
Chand has had phenomenal success both as a batsman and a leader, but his knack to rise to the occasion has prompted many to take notice of the emerging talent from Delhi.
He scored back to back centuries against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 and Pakistan in the just concluded Under-19 Asia Cup, which consequently helped his side emerge as the joint-winners along with traditional rivals Pakistan.
The http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 when the Men in Blue defeated a strong Australian team in the final of a quadrangular tournament. The young captain fetched scores of 94 and 112* in the semi-final and final respectively, and
was declared Man of the Match on both occasions.
Replying to his status as a ‘big-match player’, the right-hand batsman said that his desire to churn out big scores doesn’t depend on the occasion as he considers all matches as equally important.
“I don't do anything different for, in your words, 'important' or 'big' matches. I take every match as a big match. There's no room for complacency. I always put my best foot forward in every match I play and try to win it for my team,” the 19-year-old said.
Chand was particularly inspired by the two innings Kohli played this year against Sri Lanka and Pakistan, where the Indian star led his team to astounding victories by scoring centuries. The youngster has admired the approach tries to emulate it whenever
he goes out to chase a target.
“I learned that once you reach the century, try to convert it into a massive score. I'm stoked that I've also managed to do something similar to him and I earnestly hope to do the same in the future as well.”
Speaking on the nail-biting final against arch-rivals http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755, the Indian youth captain said that he felt disappointed with the eventual outcome but appreciated the strong comeback made by their rivals.
“Quite honestly, we should have won the final but Pakistan bowlers did a splendid job in the last five overs,” the right-hander added.
Chand will be leading his team next month to participate in the ninth edition of the Under-19 World Cup in Australia, and he believes that every team has an equal chance to win as it’s going to be a closely contested event.
