Die Knappen will take on defending champions Borussia Dortmund in their next Bundesliga clash at the Signal Iduna Park on Saturday, October 20. The two teams will compete in the ‘Ruhr Derby’ this weekend and the clash is crucial for both sides as they look to get their respective seasons on track.
Lars Unnerstall is still not sure whether he will start in the game against Borussia Dortmund this weekend. He insisted that the decision will be up to the manager on who he chooses to play between the sticks.
The shot stopper wants to keep playing for the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Royal-95-c40387 Blues as he feels his performances thus far have been very good. The player is confident of retaining his place in the starting line-up, and he stressed that the manager would not want to risk Hildebrand in a competitive game such as the Ruhr Derby.
“That's right. I don't know who'll be in goal (laughs). I'm happy for Timo that he's back but I obviously want to carry on in goal for the next few games. I'll do all I can in training and then we'll see who the coach opts for,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, the glovesman added that he wants to leave the pitch victorious against Borussia Dortmund in the upcoming clash. He is targeting all three points against the Black Yellows and admitted that his team has the potential to win the fixture.
“I hope to leave the pitch victorious just like my brother did. If we really have to, we can come back from two goals down to win, too. That wouldn't bother me at all. We've come on well. I think we've made up some ground on Dortmund. It's sure to be an exciting game,” he concluded.
Die Knappen are currently third on the Bundesliga standings table with 14 points from the first seven games played.
