Anyone know where to purchase counterfeit, or knockoff Boy Scout uniforms?

Official BSA stuff is too expensive for many of the kids in our troop

  1. Hello ekdikeo69:

No need for counterfeits, plenty of used uniforms available at a reasonable cost. Try the uniform bank network at http://euxnetwork.net, or eBay.

The Centennial uniform will be released in August, and there should be plenty of used tan shirts available as the new uniform is phased in. You may also find that the Scout Shop will liquidate their current inventory of tans at 2:1 like they did with the switchback pants. If you are close to a Scout shop, drop by and ask the manager to call you when the uniforms go on 'sale.'

    Keep on Scoutin'

  2. A 'counterfeit uniform' is indeed a counterfeit and contrary to the BSA ideals. Remember, a Scout is Trustworthy, Loyal, and Obedient among other things. Breaking an internal rule is not a good idea.

    Options:

    1. Clothing bank. Set up a program to buy back used uniforms to 'rent' to your guys. Some councils also have a uniform bank you can try. Our pack's parents even bought uniforms they saw in stores for us.

    2. Troop T's. Actually, you only NEED a uniform shirt once in a while. Create a 'Troop T' for most uses.

    3. Earn'em. Use your fundraising to give each Scout a chance to buy a shirt. In our troop, some fundraisers were for the troop, some were for the Scout to use for uniforms, camps, etc.
