Unplugging my refrigerator?

if i unplug my refrigerator lust to move it across the room without tilting it or anything do i have to wait any certain amount of time to plug it back in?

  2. When you unplugged it, did you first switch it OFF at the cold control in the refrigerator itself?  No, to answer your question.  Why would you have to wait to re-plug it in?

  3. You don't have to wait any time at all.

    The reason you have to wait after tilting it is that the oil in the compressor needs to be left to settle after moving - it can otherwise run dry and kill itself.

  4. Since you didn't lay the refrigerator down, go ahead and plug it back in.  Just make sure you turn it "off" on the thermostat setting (highest temp) before doing so.  Once it's plugged in, turn the temperature selector back to where you had it.
