My BF and I have been having s*x unprotected for 5 months, and I haven't gotten pregnant yet! We're young, (early 20s) and nothing should be wrong. I don't get it?

  1. With perfect timing there's a 20% chance every month. Couples should go to a doctor after a year of trying with no results.

  2. find out when your most fertile and do it then..

it's usually about a week after your period...

  3. I had unprotected s*x for 5 months while trying to conceive and nothing happened. Then, by the sixth month I was pregnant! It can take up to a year for healthy couples to conceive. Good luck!

  4. It can take a year or even longer to get pregnant once you start trying.  Be patient.  If you're having s*x when you're not ovulating, then you ARE NOT going to get pregnant.  There's only a short time each month that you can become pregnant.  You can have s*x all day everyday, but if it's not when you're ovulating, there won't be a chance.  Do some research on the web or buy some books to help you know what to expect and how everything works, if you don't already fully understand things.  It's very complex and interesting.  You may think you know alot, but you'd be surprised if you really researched it.

Hang in there...give it time...it will happen...Good luck!

  5. It can take up to a year for a woman to become pregnant.  There is no reason to worry at your age until you have been trying that long.

  6. It just takes time.....took us over a year and we were fine to conceive too. A baby will come soon ;)

  7. Even though you're young, one of you could be infertile.

    Check with your doctors.

    Both of you.

There may be something wrong with your fertility.

    Good luck!

  8. don't worry too much about it.  i have been trying for 8 months and nothing.  if you haven't conceived after a year, then go to your gyn and see what is up.  in the meantime, chart your temps and take ovulation tests.  people in their 20's have a 25% chance per cycle to get pregnant even if they have intercourse during their fertile period.  good luck and lots of baby dust!

  9. keep trying!!!

  10. hes not doing something right

  11. If you're trying to get pregnant, you should try timing your baby making. First figure out when you're ovulating, and then have intercourse a few days before that (it'll take your BF's little guys a few days to get to the egg).

I agree that you should try for a year before you start getting worried.
