  1. There is no reason you cannot show him. You cannot take him to a "breed" show, but a regular open show that is not breed restricted there should be no problems.

I had a unregistered mare who I took to a number of open shows when I was kid. I also showed her in 4-H and at the local county fair.

  2. Unless you are entered I don't know if they would welcome you lol.  But you could always enter some class - show up and don't show and ride around in the practice ring.  I don't really know but I can see where it would be fun.

Jumpers do not have to be registered..  and I think there are classes for grade horses too.  And of course, equitation classes I don't think they have to be registered at open shows.

Hm.  I bet that would be fun and you'd learn a lot.  Stay away from others heels and don't get kicked and don't crowd anyone.  The people showing can be nervous and their horses may be on edge too.

    Good luck!

  3. well, you can take him to the shows and ride him in the schooling rings if you like. You just have to pay a small fee, usually about $10. But you usually can't ride him in any actual shows.

    4H, though!

  4. Your horse does not have to be registered to go to any show unless the show is breed specific. there are allot of different kids of shows you can go to from halter on up.

    have fun!!!

  5. check local barns and see if they are putting on any small shows, or if your young enough join 4-H or Pony Club. have fun!!

  6. yes. open shows allow any breed to be in their shows... along with any 4-h shows... etc

So really it depends on the show you go to, as long as it isn't a breed show then your good to go.

    Good Luck!

  7. Your horse can go to any open shows.
