  1. List you can find anywhere

UFA can be picked up by any team after July 1st. With an RFA the team can block the player from leaving by paying the higher salary offer from another team (screwed Buffalo who was forced to pay 7 mil for Vanek)

  2. Here is a list of the 2008 NHL Unrestricted free agents:

Difference between a Unrestricted free agent & Restricted Free Agent:

RFA applies to a player that is a restricted free agent. If the player is a RFA, then in order for some team to sign him, they would have to give compensation to that players old team. The compensation is in draft picks up to a total of 5 first round picks. The old team also has a right to match any contract offered by another team.

UFA stands for unrestricted free agent. UFA players can sign with any team, and no compensation is given. Players become UFA's when they reach 27 years of age or if they play ten years in NHL and are making less than the league average salary or if their old team does not give them a qualifying offer.

I cannot tell you who the Panthers are going to sign, but they need to sign someone that could replace their captain.
