Because trucks in Mexico are not kept up to the same standards as trucks here. The trucks I get to deal with here are scary enough, I don't think we need anything worse out there. The other part of safety is that drivers from Mexico speak Spanish, our signs and all are in English. Thats a big part of the safety factor. Frankly, I don't want to see any more Mexican vehicles in our country, those drivers are scary and few have any form of insurance.

Because nobody knows or cares what the US gov't is doing anymore.  If they did, this wouldn't be an issue.  So make sure you ride next to or directly behind the next Mexican truck you see for at least 5 miles like you do with the US trucks and enjoy!  Do this while paying for your $4/gallon gas and driving over structurally deficient bridges.  Catch my drift?
