  1. put damp cloth on his head it will cool him down take clothes off, leave vest on don't overdo with bedding stuff it will only warms him up alot

  2. Try taking the baby's clothes off and blowing gently on him/her. My baby loves this when its too hot.

  3. he may have colic that could cause him to be unsettled you can get drops from most super markets to help its worth a try hope this helps

    gd luck xx

  4. be yourself

  5. Does he have a fever?

If he does, strip him down into a nappy, then damp his head over with a lukewarm flannel. Have a fan or something over him aswell to help lower the temperature.

If he is bottle fed, offer him cooled boiled water and leave him in just a nappy. Leave him in the coolest room in the house.

Good luck, I hate the hot weather it makes my daughter so un happy.

  6. two points

  7. It's difficult to get the right temp for your baby but generally if you're comfortable with the temp then the baby will be too.

It's very difficult to gauge it

Are you sure he's unsettled because he's hot and it's not something else thats laking him uncomfortable...

  8. Is he feeding ok? Plenty of wet nappies? (diapers)...if not...or if he sleeps too long in your opinion..then call the doctor again...

  9. My son is 7 weeks and also suffers in the heat. My HV advised it was OK to give him boiled water in addition to his milk when it is really hot outside (it has been over 25 degrees some days) I dress him in only his bodysuit and cover him with a sheet as he only sleeps properly when he is swaddled. I know from his nappies he is not dehydrated and he is not getting too much water as if it is stopping him from taking his quota of milk. I use a room fan but not directly over his pram to help cool down the room. I open the window in the lounge to help the air circulate (where we are for most of the day) but tilt the blinds to stop the sun coming in too much and making the room warmer. Your baby may enjoy a daily bath and may feel more refreshed if you top and tail in the morning and bathe in the evening. Good luck as it isnt easy having a newborn baby in the summer.

  10. Make sure he is wearing just a bodysuit to keep him cool and make sure he is feeding plenty. He can get dehydrated if its too hot so that maybe why he is unsettled.
