Unstoppable Adam Scott shoots 65 in the final round of the Ballantine's Championship
Adam Scott shot a 65 in the final round of the Ballantine's Championship, finishing tied for the 12th position.
The 31-year-old Australian professional golf player scored an 8-under 280 and displayed an amazing performance in the last two rounds of the event being played at the Blackstone Golf Club, Icheon in Seoul, South Korea.
He teed off the first round early on Thursday and shot a 1-under 71. He scored four birdies in the first round, but also carded one bogey and a double-bogey.
For some reasons, he lost his focus on Friday and performed poorly. He was unable to be at par, as he carded five devastating bogeys. He ended the round by making just one birdie on the 18th hole, scoring a 4-over 76.
"Well, it's quite disappointing really," Scott said. "After playing quite a good round on Thursday, which was the tough day, I played my way right out of it on Friday".
“It is some consolation to put together a nice weekend. You can always take some confidence from playing well. It's better than battling around for nothing special”.
He added, “Nice to be able to make some birdies, hitting some good shots and I'll take that stuff with me back to the States and hopefully put four days together at my next outing”.
Even after disappointing his fans, he did not lose hope and tried to remain under par on Saturday. He proved his worth by making an eagle on the very first hole of the third round.
Then he added six more birdies, but also carded two bogeys and a double-bogey. His score at the end of the day was 4-under 68 and he also improved his leaderboard position amazingly.
He was unstoppable in the final round on Sunday and registered his best round scores. He shot a 65, by making seven massive birdies and one tremendous eagle on the par-5 fifth hole.
Scott was also saving bogeys, as he carded only two. Thanks to a stunning performance in the round, he climbed 23 positions on the leaderboard on Sunday, and finished tied for the 12th with two other contenders.
He made one of the best finishes at the Ballantine's Championship. Now, he is more confident and is hoping to continue performing well in the upcoming tournaments as well.
