Unsual?!?!?Plz try to help??

i have a funny name, and i'm NOT ganna say it. I'm changing my name to Michelle, but i'm in gr.8, is it unsual, and i'm kinda shy. shld i do it?

usually the funny names are the best. my real name is really unusual and most people don't know how to pronounce it right, so i always had a problem while growing up. i'm really shy, too, so when the driver's ed teacher (who was also the high school head football coach) called out my name and said "mayo", i got really red and embarassed when everyone started laughing.

however, i think that one just has to grow into a name. i was never too fond of it, but now that i'm out of high school and college, i know that people remember who i am because of my unusual name (even though i'm so shy). i think it's better when people say "oh. she's the one with the funny name." rather than "what? who's that?!" even though they may have met you many times before.

whats your real name!!?? nobody knows who you are so it wont matter nobody should judge you?? if you told me what the name was i would be able to tell you a better answer?

If you feel that strongly about changing your name, you should talk to your mother or father, or both. Since you are a minor, only a parent can make this happen.

Also, maybe you're the only one who thinks it's funny. Maybe others find it interesting. There way too may "Michelles" in the world already. Perhaps you should talk to some friends about it before you approach your parent(s).

your name defines you as a person there is nothing wrong with your name I'm not all that fond of mine but it took me getting a little older to find it made me who i was and it was a part of my makeup as a person. where it with pride it is yours
