  1. try to find possible volunteers to work in your company. make a mission statement. maybe you could also start calling local food stores or restaurants and tell them about your business and ask for  them to possibly donate food once in a   while to your company in exchange for something else.(if they do agree to give you some food, maybe contact local newspapers and tell them about that business and the good deed they have done so that restaurant/business gets recognition)..not sure..uhm.. have you picked out color schemes? what type of shelter will it be? will it have beds, bathing areas, sofa's or will it strictly be a type of organization that wont house possible homeless persons...but rather provide information. are you planning on providing the people with some type of starter kit/survial kit they can use to get back on their feet? like maybe a suit they can wear to job interviews, and other stuff they will need...

i think you are doing a marvelous thing, and i would like to congratulate you, good luck i hope it works out wonderful :)

  2. sup, im in plano, post a volunteer ad with service hours for teenagers, u need to make the public aware, write into the Dallas Morning News, Metro Section, (they love stories like this)

  3. That's a great Idea, and I would have loved to help but I live all the way in Australia.

You can ask the homeless shelters around your town as to what you can do, like what things do they need and that way you can start to make a difference. You could help out in the shelters there and  soup kitchens and talk to homeless people and ask them if given the oportunity would they change their lives and get out into the world.

Some people who are homeless choose to be so and some have a lot of issues that would be very difficult for them to maintain a job and a home, ie; drug abuse, alcohole abuse, mental issues etc..... So even tho I think it's a great idea you also have to be prepared for those who would want to use your facilities but may have no desire to change their life.

You also have to understand that it will take many months even years to get some of these folks off the street and into the big world, they have been used to getting up when they please and doing as they please and may struggle with order and taking instructions from an employer. I wish you much luck with your project.
