Until what age do you give kid cups at restaurants?

I just started waitressing at TGIFridays and I'm having trouble knowing when to use the kids cups or not. I don't want to offend bigger kids by giving them the kids cup, but then sometimes they'll actually want it. At the same time, smaller kids don't want the cup at all!! It's the parents that request them. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Use common sense. I say any child ordering off kid menu, gets the cup. If the kid is like 10 or so, ask. Ask the kid directly. gauge their maturity.  Use your best judgement

When in doubt just ask the parents.

i think you just give it when requested and when you feel appropriate. just stick with your guts or ask your manager
