  1. It was a coyote. The best way to identify a coyote is by it's long legs. They can also make a lot of loud high pitched noises

  2. The fox probably caught itself some dinner in the form of a plump, juicy rabbit.

  3. Some people mistake foxes for people screeming/screeching. This could be what you heard.

  4. I believe it was just a fox calling for another, but it it seemed like it was a fox chasing something and if that youtube clip doesn't sound familiar it must have been a rabbit.

Rabbits give off a chilling scream when they are afraid or in pain.  It almost sound human. They are also a prey item of a fox.

Read this.  Hope it helps, and I hope the rabbit made it ;)

  5. It sounds exactly like a young fox, it would look a bit lanky/ long legged, they make a weird eerie shreiking noise when mating season is happening. This is what it sounds like:

  6. I think the other animal, was infact a fox, they were calling to each other, they do that at night time, its a territory thing they do, i first thought a woman was being attacked when i first heard it.

  7. i really think it's just a fox or a coyote, don't terrify yourself, it was at night you can't really recognize anything. and try not to believe those legend because you will get no answer but to scar yourself more.

  8. Well, it was dark and your were obviously sleepy.  It sounds like you might have seen a fox chasing a jack rabbit.  In the dark, the jack rabbit might have llooked like something else.

  9. Sounds normal for a young fox.

Sorry but I PMSL over the comment "kept running the lenth of my bush down below"

    The mind boggles ???

  10. Hmm, ?it was wanting to get behind your bush down below. I should take care, not with the animal but with your English ;-))

  11. it was "el chupacabra"

  12. One early dark  morning while i was walking to work i heard a high pitched shrieking noise that scared the shite outta me lol

wheni looked up i could see the silloette of two foxes on a mound in the distance

so mabey thats what it was

  13. Probably a rabbit...they squeal real loud believe it or not....

  14. could have been a coyote

  15. Do not know where you live but its either in Europe or up north, I bet. Coyotes will chase down and eat a fox but I would think the fox would not stop to look at you if a coyote was after him. Therefore, I concure with those who beleive the fox was chasing a rabbit or another fox.

  16. woww thats creepy 0.o

any local legends you know of? x)
