Up For Sam tipped to succeed in The Brandon Seniors Trophy Heat 2
Up For Sam is tipped to prevail in The Brandon Seniors Trophy Heat 2 at Coventry in England on Thursday, July 12, 2012. The Grade OR winner will be given a cash prize of £150 in the 485 metres flat race.
The action is scheduled to start at 21:10 GMT and there will be some competitive runners battling out for victory in the race. However, only one will come out on top and that could be Up For Sam, who is carrying a very good momentum right now. He has not
been rated as the favourite by the bookmakers, but it will be a clever decision for the punters to risk money on him.
The C. Weatherall’s trainee has taken part in quite a few Grade OR events and his performances in them have been good. He started off is career with a few trial runs and managed to impress one and all with his speed and stamina.
Looking at the solid performances of the black dog, his team decided to give him a chance in a Grade OR event. This was his first appearance in this class and the bookies awarded him with the best odds back then. He lived up to their expectations and stormed
to the top by five lengths and three quarters.
Up For Sam was brisk at the start of that race and he did not allow anyone else to come closer until the end. It seemed that he would be challenging the best in the business at the highest level, but things did not turn out well for him.
There were quite a few ups and downs in the career of Droopys Scolari’s son out of Hold On Angel, but he has been delivering some terrific results in the ongoing season. He finished first in his most recent Grade OR outing, which shows that he is carrying
a decent momentum.
He was given the best odds in that event, despite the fact that there were some very good runners up against him. He was brisk at the start and got into the lead pretty early. He also displayed decent stamina in the end, holding onto his lead and winning
by half a length.
If Up For Sam delivers a similar run at Coventry, he will definitely be in contention for another victory in this class.
