  1. I wish that this fight was going to be shown on American TV, so that I could get a chance to see it because these two guys are two of the most underrated heavyweights out there today.  Virchis does have more than a puncher's chance, but I still think that Gomez will win.  They both have decent power, but are excellent boxers and could give any of the top 3 heavyweights a tough time and possibly beat them.  Gomez showed great boxing ability when he beat Oliver McCall twice- the first one was changed to a "no decision" because Gomez tested positive for cocaine, but he did win the fight.  And I don't care how old McCall is, he can still punch like h**l and is a very good fighter, and Gomez beat him handily in the rematch as well.  Plus, Gomez is pretty quick and fluid for a heavyweight because he started out as a cruiserweight champion.  Virchis' only loss was a close decision to the current WBA heavyweight titleholder Ruslan Chagaev, so he certainly has a very good chance at beating Gomez.  However, I think that with Freddie Roach added to Gomez's corner as well as his good boxing ability and power, I think that he will beat Virchis by a fairly close decision.
