  1. If you're going to be actually applying to good schools, I suggest taking the SAT as soon as possible.  Don't wait to the last minute.

Also, when asking for teacher recommendations, ALWAYS ask way a head of time.  Be nice and friendly, leave them with a list of things you've done and what the college/scholarship/whatever wants in a recommendation letter.  Try to go to teacher's that know you well and have a proper writing skill.

Plus, as a Senior, go a head and start doing scholarships.  Like right now.  Go to fastweb.com and just start.  And don't send in the scholarship the day it's due.  Not good.

But something a lot of people don't realize is that you really don't need to stress so much about college.  Chill and enjoy your last year in high school.

Here are some blogs that'll help you along:

    http://missbuildingblocks.blogspot.com/

This a good site for financial information as long as with some more "serious" topics.  IT also deals with teenager-like issues.

    http://newchaptercollege.blogspot.com/

This is a good site for getting ready for college outside of the finances.  Things to get, slight advice for things, etc.  Both seem to be really good.

Well, good luck and have fun with your last year!!
