ok i took her to the vet and her blood in p**p problem was from the cat food, i use purina one but i mixed it with wiskas to cut costs and it did not agree with her the discharge was a prolonged labor, AND>>> i woke up to find 4 healthy kittens and a very happy mommy, she is doing great! she wants my affection and she snuggles up to her babies, this is the sweetest thing i have seen next to having my babies! and my kids are involved and she welcomes it, my big cat keeps checking on her and smelling het and has been for the past 2 days, like she is worried so they finnaly get along!

  1. Hi SweeTie,

I'm really pleased to hear that all went well in the end for your pregnant kitty. It sounds as if she got pregnant before the date you thought she may have mated (7/16). But, I am genuinely happy and relieved for you :) Every pregnancy and birth pattern is different and no comprehensive text book on cat breeding can ever teach you or prepare you fully for what will happen.

This pregnant stray kitty was lucky to find you, otherwise she would have ended up having feral kittens on her own.

Enjoy every minute with the kittens as weeks fly by like days. Once the kittens have been weaned and have found new homes, I would suggest getting her spayed soon after as she may start calling again and she had a heavy going pregnancy that will have taken a lot out of her and she'll make a much happier and healthier family pet for you, and you won't have the anxiety, worry and vet fees like you've had with this pregnancy, to deal with again :)

Keep us posted on how the kittens develop.

All the best from my furry ones to yours.

    Debbie.
