Update on previously unclassified mammal?

Can anyone tell me what this animal was later named, as the article was written in 2005.

I find plenty or articles about this mystery animal, but no follow up.  Surely by now one would have been captured.  You see you have to actually have one in hand.  You need to make all kinds of measurements and collect a DNA sample.

There are civets and large tree shrews native to Borneo also.  Could be one of those or a hybrid.

Cute little critter. What a pity that the photos don't show whether it has nails (primate) or claws (carnivore) or whether the orbits are completely encircled by bone (primate). Or the teeth. On the limited data, I'm sort of leaning toward civit. Barely.
