Question:

Update ...?

The other day I posted a question about people with experiences with not knowing they were pregnant and expressed concern about myself being preggers. I have quite a few of the symptoms, but they could all also be explained by other things, mainly my birth control and I should be starting my period any day now. But regardless, I picked up a pregnancy test the day my period was supposed to start. I did everything right, except it wasn't my first pee of the day. I tried holding it for a good 4 hours because I read that it'll build up the levels. So I peed, waited 4 minutes, looked and I got a very, very, very faint line in the positive area. I've looked it up online and found out reasons it could be faint. If my period doesn't start by this weekend I'm going to get another test. And do it with my first morning pee.

So my question...has anyone else experienced this and ended up pregnant or didn't end up pregnant? I'm kinda worried about it, but at the same time it just seems surreal.

  1. A faint line still means that the pregnancy hormone was found in your urine, which means you are probably pregnant! I hope it works out in your favor (whichever way you want it to be). Good luck!

  2. faint line or not...ur pregnant...test again in a couple days to be 100% but false positives are very very rare...my pregnancy test was faint when i first found out too...just means ur not that far along...congragulations!! :) oh and stop taking ur b/c if u havent already :)

  3. Congrats!!!!!

  4. Even if the line is very faint it means that you are pregnant!! This happened to my sister and she was five months pregnant at the time she took the test and it still showed a fainted line. I think you should go see an doctor to have a blood test done, so that you will know for sure. Good Luck with everything.

  5. If there is a line in the positive area, no matter how faint, it is a positive. If you do test again in a few days, it should be darker then the one you just did. When I first took a pregnancy test (before I miscarried in May) I also didn't believe it and thought it was wrong. But I took several more over then next few days and it got darker. Congrats!
