Update wiped out all maps on my Magellan Maestro...

Question

I was updating the software on my 3140 and now when I press the map button I get this response- "Map Initialization Status: Please insert SD card with map" . The SD CArd is in the machine it just wont recognize that it's there. All the menus work theres just no data. I've already tried all the obvious things. Also tried another card formatted in a friends identical machine I'm using a 1 gig sandisk. Please Show me your brilliance and don't make me go to Ft Worth.
