  1. are you talking about changing the model of it? if so, I don't think it is possible to have your video card change like that. but to update it to newest firmwaree go here and follow the guide

    http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html

  2. No.  Those would be different graphics cards.

  3. NO, thery are different Graphics cards. If you want to upgrade to play more demanding game. Check out you tube "change graphics card" It will show you how to install one. Use tomshardwareguide to compare graphics card performance. You may notice a performance boost from updating your driver version. Get your model number im assuming its a Radeon 7000 and goto there website and download and install drivers for radeon 7000 card. Goodluck!!

  4. No.

But they are happy to sell you one.  The only way to change model types is to change hardware.

  5. No, the drivers you download are for that specific model. You will have to buy the 8500 hardware to get the drivers.

  6. The best answer would be MAYBE.  Depending on the OTHER HARDWARE of your computer, you MAY be able to safely EMULATE the card,  but the display may be too slow to be effective, or the speed of said emulator may be MUCH LESS than replacing the actual card, due to things like propagation delays and converting code sets and stuff.  So you need to weigh the increased performance enhancement versus the speed decrease to determine the feasibility of this 'patch'.

  7. there is a free software called drivermax

google it and you will find it.

it is cool and it will solve any problems about drivers
