Question:

Updating credit scores...?

I was just looking at my credit report/score and the most recent information it gave from my cards and accounts was from March, for all three bureaus. I was just wondering if there was anything I could do to get that updated, like call equifax, tu, or anything like that. I'm not looking into buying anything right now, I would just like to know why my score hasn't gone up since March. All my balances are lower than they were now, so I don't see why nothing has updated. Thanks!

  1. The credit bureau has only what the creditors give them. So if your credit card account was last reported in March..you need to call the card company and ask them to report again...it's not the credit bureau who does the updating.

  2. Credit bureaus are a service for creditors.  The bureaus will only accept information from their subscribers, not from you.  No law says creditors have to subscribe at all.
