Updating on windows xp?

Question

I have a problem and dont know how to resolve it.now for over two months when i go to put the updates for my windows xp i get a screen now that reads this"the following updates where not installed"this does it ever time nothing will update now.I have a list of like 15 things that keep popping up to install and they never will install now what do I do to fix this?

Go to windows update section it will scan your computer for needed update and give you a list for you to choose the when picked will download them to your computer and install them
