Updation in passport to be made in same issuing passport office or any?

i have to update my passport with the inclusion of my spouse name in it. For the same do i have to approach the same issuing passport office or any other which is convenient for me?

In the United States you can go to your county court house and the County Clerk has the necessary paperwork to help you.  Remember that there will be a significant delay because of the new security rules.
