Upgrade my room?

when i go into friends rooms they seem cool and different. mine is just a plane room with a tv and a few posters/ what can i buy to make it look it modern

Pics. Everyone loves looking at pics. U can also go to walmart and buy some of those wooden letters from the arts n crafts section and paint them. spell out your name and hang them on the wall. u should also pick a theme. or like a main color. my main color is pink.. i bought a bunch of pink pillows and a pink rug and that made the room have a cool theme. ur fav animal or cartoon can also be a theme. mine is monkeys. claires has alot of room decorations. Hawaiian flower leis are also cute to hang on the corners of a big mirror.  u can also try those wall stickers that can be found at walmart or lowes. like big butterflies or flowers. if you aren't allowed to paint those r the next best thing.

What is it that seems so cool about your friends rooms?

Trying buying new posters and arranging them on the walls in jaunty angles instead of pinned up straight. Also, how about getting a big clip frame and putting loads of photos of friends and family, plus postcards or gig/cinema ticket stubs in it? If it's feasible, how about rearranging the furniture to instantly update the room?
