Question:

Upgrading 184 pin SODIMM RAM from 1GB to 2GB. Do I need to adjust any CMOS settings after?

4 CAS latency, non-ECC and non-buffered all match original RAM

  1. If it match the original RAM, then no. When you boot up it will count the RAM and make sure it adds up to 2GB.

    For the most part upgrading RAM would not need reconfigure anything in the BIOS, unless you changed from non-ECC to ECC or something else major.  


  2. no changes in bios, but you do need to edit the paging file to be at 150% of your total ram-
