  1. it would help enough to sound louder im not sure im sure it would make more of a differnce at competition you should be fine with what you have my fuses add up to 160a and i have 0ga wire all threw the car and a second battery and it makes it much louder but you should be fine if you wanna get a little bigger of a wire it looks more impressive and couldnt hurt

  2. use 0/1 guage..it will be worth it in the long run even if it doesnt make a difference in sound...also do the big 3...any questions on that, look it up on a site and it will tell thouroughly everything u need to know

  3. Might make it a little louder, because of how wire works... the bigger the gauge of wire, the less loss you have in the wire.

I'm running 0/1 gauge in mine, with a second battery and a 200 amp HO alternator,  I've got 3 fuses in my amp that are 120 amp too (Rockford P8002).

Honestly it wouldn't hurt to do that, another thing that you can do that would help it is called the big 3, it's where you go to a bigger charging cable from your alternator to the battery, bigger cable from the battery to ground, and a bigger cable from the engine block to the chassis ground.  Honestly that would probably make more of a difference than going to a bigger wire guage.  You are pushing a lot of power to be running 5 ga.  Probably wouldn't be a horrible idea to drop it to 2ga.
