Upgrading a harddrive in a lg dvd/hdd recorder?

i have a RH177 LG dvd/hdd recorder with an 80GB harddrive

I want to upgrade to a bigger harddrive around a 250GB or more to get longer recording time

Has anyone done this

and do you think a bigger hdd would work properly.
