Uploaded songs to Itunes don't sound as good as the ones you can purchase (details inside)?

Today I bought The Black Parade is Dead! and uploaded it to Itunes. When I listened to the previews of same album in the Itunes Store, the instruments sounded more vivid and the generally recording sounded more powerful etc.

Why? And is there a way I can make the sound better on my uploaded songs?

  1. iTunes has their own format... a mix between AAC and MP4.  Their audio tends to be quite better when listening to them on a media player, but I believe they are about the same as cd quality when you make it into a cd.  I think iTunes has a slight advantage over cds because of their audio quality.  I advise everyone to use iTunes and not some application that you can get songs for free with.  I'm a musician and we all feel it when it comes down to people ripping us and our talent off.  Anyway, hope my answer is good.  Try converting your cd into AAC files when you upload it into iTunes, it might help a bit.... other than that, you can download a mp3 converting application like Audacity and change the audio to your needs, that's what I do when I find that the audio is a bit low in quality.
