Uploading Files to Yahoo Group?

I can't find any way to upload a file to a Yahoo Group. Our moderator is not assisting.

they may be turned off to members, if you don't see the upload buttons in files...

it sounds like the owners have disabled this feature so members cant upload. sorry, nothing you can do but ask if you can upload. maybe send it to the owner and ask if they would load it then

First, on your computer, set up a text file with contents how you want them to appear.

Then sign in to your group, click Files, then click Create Text File.

Enter the file name and description.

If you want file auto-sent to members, select the desired option or none at all.

Copy and paste the file content from your computer to the blank text box underneath File Content.

Scroll all the way down to bottom of page and click Create File.

Each individual file you upload has a 5 megabyte limit.

Here is how you can upload a file to your groups:

1. Go to your group's home page.

2. Click Files from the list on the left side of your group’s page.

3. There may or may not be more than one folder with files in it. If there are multiple folders, browse through them until you find the one where you’d like to add the file. Then click Add File.

4. Type the path name or use the Browse button to find the file on your computer. You must know the location of the file on your computer in order to upload it.

5. Type a description for the file.

6. If you’re the moderator, you can select among the auto-delivery options.

7. To send an email message to the group announcing the file, check the box under "Notification".

8. Click the Upload File button.

Note: File upload only works with Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer, version 3.0 or higher. If you use IE v3.0, you’ll need to download a special software patch from Microsoft.
