Question:

Uploading music from my camera; Help please?

Ok, earlier today I recorded myself singing onto my camera as a video.

I was wondering how I could upload this as an audio, or just sound, no video, so once Im done with that I can upload that to myspace/imeem and put my singing on my myspace.

So basically Im asking for the steps of what to do next. I have a video of my voice on my camera, and my cameras plugged into my computer, I have the video uploaded to my computer, but how do I make it into just a sound so I can upload it to different websites? {myspace music, projecyplaylist, imeem, ect.}

Thanks for all of your help,

Lots of love

  1. Since you did not tell us what computer you are using, I'll tell you what I would do...

    Import the video from the camera to your Mac using iMovie. Extract the audio (under "Advanced"). That will drop the audio to a searpate audio line on the time line at the bottom of the iMovie window. Drag that to the desktop. Open it in GarageBand (or Audacity). If in GarageBand, export as MP3. If Audacity, you can export as MP3 or AIFF. Upload it.

    I presume Windows MovieMaker has some sort of similar capability.

  2. Extract Audio from Media files:

    1. If you have an video file use AoA Audio Extractor (freeware) to xtract  or

    2. Capture video to video editing app, say windows movie maker, drag & drop video file to audio/ music portion of timeline. This is then saved as an wma audio file,
