Uploading my music to my friends ipod?

okay so my friend wants my music from my itunes to go on her ipod too. i plugged hers in and i clicked sync. it does it for a split second and stops? like it just doesnt let it. ive tried a thousand times. can someone just tell me how to get just my music onto her ipod?

you can't unless you get a message when you first plug it in saying

we have found purchases on your ipod that are not in your current itunes library. would you like to transfer purchases?

and it only comes up if you buy your songs from itunes
