Is it possible to upload videos from a computer to a video camera?

I mean, from the computer to the camera. Like a video that isn't on or shot by the camera, lol.

  1. If you have a solid editing program (such as Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro) and you can already capture video normally, you should be able to 'reverse capture' or post video to the recording media on your camcorder.  Everything operates the same as it would in normal video capture.  The video signal merely flows in the opposite direction.

This was originally developed for miniDV, but it works even better for HDV.  When done properly, it look as if the camcorder not only filmed the video but also did linear editing during the recording.

Where you find this option differs from program to program.   The most common place to find the option is in 'Export' or somewhere under the File option as Send to Camcorder, Save to HDV, Print to Video, Edit to Tape, or something similar .

  2. if you are talking about a HDD camera, i'm sure you can put a new file in the drive
