Uploading videos off of my camcorder?

every time i connect my camcorder to my computer nothing happens. im trying to upload videos but i can only upload pictures with my SD card? plz help!!!!

  1. It sounds like you've got a MinDV camcorder - you need to capture the video via firewire rather than USB.   If your PC hasn't already got one you'll need to install a firewire card. They're cheap, easy to install and readily available. You'll also need a firewire cable.

    Once everything's connected you can capture and edit the video with Windows Movie Maker (it should already be on your PC).
