I'm on a date there tonight.

a) Are there any bars there which do karaoke tonight? If so, where?

b) Which are the good bars?

c) What are the nice yet affordable restaurants?

See if you can get in to any of the Galipolli restaurants - they're great!  Good value, and atmosphere is lively but cosy at the same time!

A few beers or cocktails in Cuba Libre is a great start to any evening!

Upper Glas is a Scandanavian restaurant on Upper Street and their food is generally innovative and outstanding but not badly priced.

For a nice but affordable restaurant is Belgo Bierodrome which is 10 min stroll from Highbury & Islington tube and you'll spend about £20 each with a bottle of wine inclusive. They do a super burger, nice mussels and nice chicken dishes with mushrooms and cream.

There is restaurant called something like Ultimate Burger Company which is great. Come out of the tube, turn right and go along Upper Street. It's on the right hand side.
